Eligibility for Foresters Member Benefits
Depending on the type of Foresters membership you have, you may be eligible to apply for various benefits. Eligibility for Foresters Member Benefits extends to your immediate family as well. This includes:
  • Your current husband or wife (from a legal marriage)
  • Your spouse from a common law relationship (meaning 2 persons who have cohabited in a relationship of some permanence continuously for at least 2 years)
  • Your children (biological or legally adopted) who are under the age of 25 and for whom you are legally responsible for maintenance and support
Member benefits do not extend to individuals outside of your immediate family (aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.).

To be eligible for Foresters Member Benefits, your membership must be in force. Depending on the type of membership, this may require regular premium payments or an in force certificate under which you are an insured or an annuitant. Membership based on an in force certificate issued after October 31, 2000 must provide $10,000 of base coverage if a life insurance certificate or if an annuity certificate it has a value of not less than $10,000 or premium of $1,000 paid in the past year.
