You’re welcome at Foresters
Inclusion, diversity and equity
Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are the engine rooms for the culture of diversity, inclusivity and equity we are crafting at Foresters. These voluntary employee-led groups spur creative ideas and new perspectives which help shape our business and ultimately our success. They are also places for networking and community in which career development opportunities can be sought and lasting friendships are built.
The AccessAbility ERG is our disability, mental health and neurodiversity resource group. We chose the name ‘AccessAbility’ to focus on the solution, which requires close collaboration and targeted actions by a diverse group of stakeholders to create inclusion for individuals living with a disability at Foresters.
The Black@Foresters ERG advances Foresters commitment to inclusion, diversity and equity within its Black employee population by providing them support for racial equity, mentoring and career growth. The ERG is premised on dismantling anti-Black discrimination and enhancing the lived and professional experiences of Black employees throughout Foresters.
The vision of the Multicultural ERG is focused on creating a work environment where cultural diversity leads to personal and organizational success. We believe that every employee has a rich cultural offering and background which is crucial to building a place of inclusion and belonging for everyone.
Pride at Foresters ERG members work to support Foresters as a leading choice for our LGBTQ+ community and their allies. Here you can engage with the global Foresters community and help provide input on programs and policies that foster an inclusive culture allowing the LGBTQ+ community to thrive as the fullest versions of themselves in the workplace.
The WIN+ ERG actively supports a workplace that is safe and equitable for women and persons who identify as women to thrive and belong. Joining WIN+ ERG makes you part of a community that celebrates its members and supports their career aspirations or desire for mentoring and connection.
“I moved to Canada four years ago from Colombia. The best part of being at Foresters is that it’s a safe and healthy environment. My team has been so encouraging and supportive. I never felt judged or discriminated against for being from another country. Foresters is an inclusive and accessible place to work that’s welcoming to everyone.”

“I am proud to be a co-chair in our Women’s+ Initiative Network ERG. When I started my career at Foresters, I received invaluable mentorship to become a future leader. Today, I’m supporting our female colleagues as they develop their career paths.”

“Foresters encourages wellness in whatever that means to each individual and provides different opportunities to get involved through the ERGs or our Working for Purpose program. I enjoy participating in activities like ‘Bike for Brain Health’ and the Foresters soccer team because I get to mingle with my colleagues outside of work while doing meaningful activities.”
