Biography

Janice Madon

Janice Madon brings extensive global experience in financial services, including insurance, banking, wealth and asset management. She is President and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Annuity, an insurance company providing group annuity solutions to pension plans to facilitate retirement savings for their members. She serves on the Boards of Trisura Group Ltd, Forum Real Estate Income and Impact Fund and Appleby College.

Her prior roles include President and Chief Operating Officer Brookfield Annuity, Chief Financial Officer Brookfield Annuity, Senior Advisor, Brookfield Asset Management, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Manulife Canada, Global Chief Accountant Manulife Financial and Global Chief Auditor Manulife Financial. Janice spent nearly a decade in progressively more senior leadership positions within Royal Bank of Canada and she began her career with EY.

Throughout her 25+ year career in global financial services, she has led professional women’s networks, transformed access to education for Indigenous communities, built new professional frameworks for talent development and sponsored countless professionals in their own careers.

Janice has been honored as a CPA Fellow, the highest distinction granted to a CPA.

She holds the GCB.D, Sustainability & ESG Designation and an MBA from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management.

Janice has been a member of Foresters Board since 2021; she currently serves on the Board’s Audit and Compliance (Chair), Risk and Investment and Fraternal Committees.
