What is Combined Life and Critical Illness cover?


Combined Life and Critical Illness provides cover for you and your loved ones. Combined cover will protect you in the event of; terminal illness, critical illness, permanent disability (as a result of injury or illness) or your death -whichever may occur first.

Do I need Combined Life and Critical Illness cover?

Combined Life and Critical Illness cover may be for you if your loved ones rely on your financial support or if you have a mortgage. This will provide your family with a one-off payment claim to cover you in the event of you being affected by a specified illness, permanent disability, or if you pass away.

You can cover yourself with Combined Life and Critical Illness up to the age of 65 for a minimum cover period of five years. Your loved ones will receive the benefit as a lump sum, or with the option of annual income for Personal Insurance.

For Mortgage Protection you have the option to take out single or joint cover. You can also decide if you want your cover to be level or decreasing, depending on your mortgage type.

Combined Life and Critical Illness is available under our Personal Insurance Plan and Mortgage Protection Plan.

Supporting you after a claim

You can't prepare yourself for the emotional challenges of a life limiting illness, and there's no manual on how to deal with grief. Whilst we can't change these events, our protection products offer a Peace of Mind service.

 

This specialist advice service is staffed by experienced nurses who are on hand to offer expert help and guidance. Should the worst happen, your partner and children will have access to bereavement counselling with up to six sessions at no extra cost.

 

Free will preparation service

You can protect your family with a free, personalized online document preparation service. From the comfort of your own home, you can create a Will, Power of Attorney, and healthcare directives.

As a member, you have access to thisbenefit and more. This includes helping your local community through volunteer grants, taking part in or organising Family Fun events. There's also the opportunity for you or your children to apply for scholarships.
